Our story

Food brings us to the table.
What happens next matters more.

Sobremesa was born from a Spanish tradition, a love of cooking and one simple belief: the best part of a meal begins when nobody is ready to leave.

More than a word

The time after the meal
when conversation lingers.

In Spain, sobremesa is the unhurried time spent around the table after eating—talking, laughing and being together. It cannot be rushed, scheduled or taken to go.

That feeling is the heart of everything we create here in Huntsville.

Meet your host

Chef Fernando
Bosque.

Fernando created Sobremesa to share more than recipes. Each experience brings together technique, generosity and the relaxed hospitality he grew up with.

His classes are hands-on but never intimidating. You will learn the why behind every step, make something genuinely delicious and sit down to enjoy it with the people beside you.

“I want guests to leave knowing how to make the dish—but remembering how the evening felt.”

What we believe

Made by hand.
Remembered by heart.

01

Everyone belongs here

No experience required. Curiosity, appetite and a willingness to join in are enough.

02

Cooking creates connection

Working side by side makes conversation easier and turns a group into a table.

03

The meal is not the finish

We make room for the laughter, stories and lingering that come after the last bite.

The family behind Sobremesa

A place created
with heart.

For Fernando and Haley, Sobremesa is deeply personal: a place shaped by family, hospitality and the belief that sharing food can make people feel at home.

That warmth is present in every class, every celebration and every seat around the table.
